Day 1

Although we feel like we have been flying the Simulator for days already, the Official start of WorldFlight 2013 was 10.00 pm on Sunday Night.  The Crew gathered for our customary Pre-WorldFlight meal at the Newlands Pub which is just up the road from the Simulator.

This year we left the Simulator parked on the stand and powered up so it was much easier for us, the first crew John Davis and Malcolm Wood boarded our Boeing 747 G-BNLH (Never Leaves Home) about 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled departure time.

For once we were bang on time and pushed back off the stand at exactly the Same time as Qantas 25 the Lead team.

The route for Sunday Evening and Monday takes us across Australia to Perth before heading North to Jakarta, Brunei, Singapore, Colombo finishing Monday at Male in the Seychelles.
Most of this has been night flying.

Currently the last flight of the day has just taken off for Male, we hope we have been keeping you entertained on webcam.
